Page delivery, search and email
When you request a page, the hosting service receives your IP address, requested URL, time and technical browser information to deliver and secure the website. Search and filters run in your browser; query parameters appear in URLs and can enter server logs when you reload a page. There are no accounts, analytics pixels or contact forms. Email services process your sender address and message to handle your enquiry.
Retention and recipients
Hosting and email providers receive the data necessary for those services. Messages are retained as needed to resolve the enquiry and related claims, subject to applicable recordkeeping duties. Technical logs are retained according to operational and abuse-prevention needs and the hosting configuration. Service providers may process information in other countries. We do not claim a specific server location or a fixed retention period that has not been confirmed.
Language selection
Only a visit to the root URL / without a saved language preference calls IPWHOIS.IO at https://ipwho.is/?fields=success,country_code. It receives your IP address and technical request data. Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein select German; other countries, errors and a delay over five seconds select English. A manual choice takes priority. Direct entry through /en/ or /de/ avoids the lookup. The response is not retained here as an IP history. Cookies and browser storage
This website itself sets no HTTP cookies. The localStorage entry 2malweg-language remembers a manual language choice until you change or clear it. The German edition also offers optional Awin preferences stored for 180 days as 2malweg-consent. A preference saved there may remain in the same browser, but the English edition does not use it to enable affiliate tracking. You can remove these entries in your browser’s site-data controls. This English edition has no cookie consent panel.
Awin and affiliate links
Awin is the intended affiliate network. This version has no advertiser links, Awin pixels or scripts. Future paid referrals will be labelled near the relevant content. The English edition does not assume consent from continued browsing: its current link adapter sends cons=0 for Awin links, even if a German-edition preference exists. Awin describes this signal as preventing its tracking cookie and forwarding of a click identifier. Visiting an external link still sends ordinary connection information to that service. You can clear local browser data, enter a language-specific address to avoid the IP lookup, and email info@2malweg.de to ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information. Available rights depend on applicable law and may be subject to exceptions. We use request details to respond and may need proportionate verification. This version has no analytics or advertising trackers and does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
